Plastic Space investigates the way that casting the interior of something changes our relationship to it, allowing us to see it in new and unexpected ways. Through the process of casting and photo manipulation, takeaway containers are transformed from rubbish into monumental-seeming structures, that have their own strange beauty. By giving these empty shells new heft, the work questions the presence of plastic in our environment, and the lasting damage it does.
